What's new: Billing & Payment Updates

We’ve released several updates to improve the billing and payment experience, provide more flexibility for organization management, and make billing information and pricing clearer.

Released on October 1, 2026

This release brings improvements to billing, payments, permissions, and billing information management.

📅 Monthly Billing Cycle

OXU billing is now based on the calendar month instead of a 30-day billing cycle.

Your billing period starts on the first day of each month and ends on the last day of the same month. This means the number of days in a billing period may vary depending on the month.

When you purchase additional licenses during the month, OXU calculates the charge proportionally based on the remaining days in the current calendar month. This ensures that you only pay for the period in which the additional licenses are available.

From the following month, the licenses are included in the regular monthly billing amount.

📄 Create & Download Quotes

You can now create and download a quote before completing a purchase.

A quote provides a detailed summary of your selected plan, number of licenses, pricing, and total amount. You can review the quote internally or share it with your finance and procurement teams before proceeding with payment.

This makes it easier to review and confirm purchase details before an invoice is generated.

₿ USD/BTC Exchange Rate

For cryptocurrency payments, OXU now provides a defined method for calculating the USD/BTC exchange rate.

When a crypto payment order is created, the exchange rate used for the order is captured and associated with that payment. The BTC amount is then calculated based on the applicable USD/BTC rate at the time of the order.

This helps keep the crypto payment amount consistent with the original billing amount and provides a clear reference for payment reconciliation.

🔐 Role-Based Billing Permissions

Billing and payment actions are no longer restricted to the Organization Owner only.

Organizations can now assign the required billing permissions to other roles. Authorized users can perform supported billing and payment actions based on their assigned permissions, without requiring access to Owner-level privileges.

This gives organizations more flexibility to separate billing responsibilities while maintaining appropriate access control.

🏢 Billing Address Management

The billing address can now be updated by users with the required billing permission.

Previously, billing information could only be managed by the Owner. With this update, authorized users can keep the organization's billing address up to date for billing documents and future transactions.

Keeping the billing address accurate helps ensure that invoices, quotes, and other billing-related documents contain the correct organization information.
